The City of Franklin has an opening in the Water Meter Department.

 WATER METER CONTROLLER

 Essential Functions

Tests water meters with testing equipment for accuracy

Determine if replacement and/or repair are necessary

Repair equipment and components both in the field and in the shop

Verification of proper installation/transmission of meter data by utilizing tablet PC

Maintains efficient records on operations and activities

Coordinate and prepare a variety of reports

Checks and follows up on customer complaints of water related problems

Ability to complete and pass all Muller Systems training programs

 Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Basic computer skills required

Working knowledge of Excel

Must have a current valid Louisiana driverís license

Must be 21 years of age upon date of hire

Must pass a drug test

City of Franklin

The City of Franklin is seeking an experienced Human Resource/Payroll Clerk.

Applicant must have knowledge of employment law, compensation principles and employee relations concepts. Applicant must have knowledge of preparing and processing payroll, including preparation and processing of reports for State and Federal governments, i.e., 941, W-2.

 Essential Functions

Manages all human resources operations.

Manages the administration of the Cityís employee benefit.

Prepare and process biweekly payroll for all departments.

Strong leadership and communication skills are required.

 Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Bachelorís degree from an accredited college or 7 years of management/supervisory experience in a human resources department or division.

Preference will be given to candidates with masterís degrees and/or experience in municipal government human resources, civil service or risk management.

Must pass a drug test.
